Love that curio!! Don't paint it - it looks great! Now I know what to do with my curio. I would have never bought a curio because it just holds a bunch of stuff that I have to dust, but dh got it in Germany before he met me, so I'm stuck with it. The blocks are a great idea - would be nice for gifts too. I'm also tempted to get that frog bedding for 2 of my girls...no wonder my dh hates me being on here - it costs me money! lol | | It took YEARS to get the smoke smell out of the hutch. First we washed it with soap and water and dried it as we went along. And then I used a wood soap like murphy's on it periodically. It's that one window I can't get to go clear. I've tried vinegar. I'll try it again and if that doesn't work I'll try that green stuff. Thanks! | | | | Hi Kelly! We use Harmony paint from Sherwin Williams. It is enviromentally friendly with zero volatile organic compounds so it is perfectly safe to use while pregnant! HTH!
Kasey - formerly Carter&Violet'sMami Carter Grant - July 2003 Violet Jane - January 2007 IT'S A BOY! - debuting July 2008! | | | | I think the paper looks great! It looks really nice with the sage dishes and clock. I wouldn't paint it.
| | | | Raz- I think the curtains make a huge difference in your kitchen! They look great. It will look even better with the yellow paint.
| | | | My hutch rattles too. My husband said it's because it's not perfectly level. I haven't done anything about it though.
| | | | Kasey and WigglesandGumballs- Thanks! We already have a ton of Behr paint so I may go over and get a mask. Kelly | | | | Thanks for liking my sh!tty re-purposed curtains! LOL. For you guys that like the stars, I really like them too, but feel that they are WAY overdone (sorry) so don't really want to go there. However, I bought a COOL star mirror at Michael's last month (President's weekend I'm thinking caz I had a 50% Q) that is the same concept, just a little different. I have it hanging in my entryway on a oddly sized wall: It will all look SO much better once MIL's horrid orange (terracotta) and yellow (wheat grass) is gone, and my khaki is up ... uhh, and the wall is repaired, etc, etc. Hey, speaking of this pic ... y'all like my cat? He's the bomb. Also, that metal railing. I can't take it down because the kids' keyboard is in the little nook it encloses, and they'd totally knock it down. Should I paint it black again, or to match the walls, or a brown, or one of those metallic colors??? | | | | Another Q regarding the walls. Look closely at the pic above, at the corners, can you see the cracks and crap? What do I do about that? We did A LOT of spackling when I was forced to help MIL paint a couple of years ago, and it just seemed like on the corners, the spackle just pulled bits of the sheet rock off. Do I just need to totally redo the sheet rock, or can it be saved/made to look presentable with spackle? I guess it definitely doesn't help that she picked high gloss paint for the WHOLE house. It's really terrible, LOL. And yes, at the top of that wall, that IS an old smoke detector mount bracket. They just painted over it. It's such a mess.
| | | | Serial posting ... For those of you that like fleur de lis, Ii got this at Michael's too. It was 50, but I used a 50% Q for it too. I'd show you what it looks like above my couch, but my camera went missing RIGHT after I took that pic a month ago, and I haven't seen it since. Furthermore, my house is more clean and organized (except the kitchen right now, I still haven't recovered from Easter) than it has EVER been. Where it could be, I just can't tell you. | | | | Raz....I LOVE that wall thing that is on your couch! so pretty! | | | | Ask Bethany What size picture frames did you use?
Jennifer
| | | | Kim, sent you e-mail on what size of picture frames you used

| | | | I love this thread!! Since there is alot of talk about knobs & pulls, I thought Id share what I did to a bedroom set that I inherited from my dad. This set is over 35 years old. I ended up painting the knobs with a rust kit. (spray paint) Here is also an up close pic too. (So far its been like this for 6 years & have held up great!) In my master bathroom, I covered the switchplate covers with the fabric I made my curtains out of. Here is my curtain. The valance that is held with velcro to a piece of wood up there on L brackets. Here is the opposite wall. I put BW pic of my parents, inlaws, DH & myself with 2 of the 3 kids we have. I still need to add DS pic. I made a slip cover to cover an old wooden chair that I got real cheap. We have a HUGE mirror in there that I would love to get rid of also. Hopefully one day. :) The pics posted on here are so inspiring! | | | | Sorry the pics are all odd sizes. I sized them all the same. Hopefully it will take effect soon. | | | | Here is my kitchen with my faux tile backsplash. Someone else posted that they did this in their house...I would love to see pics. Im going to make some textured tiles on there soon. (For the record if I could swing real tile or granite countertops I would have..This was a cheap alternative) Decor on top of my cabinets. I would love to redo my cabinets & counter tops. Someone asked earlier in the thread for people to share their bay window treatments. This is what I have for now. I would love to do a mistreatment on it. I also have hopes of building a window seat. :)
| | | | For the walls that are in bad shape... you don't need to replace the sheetrock but you might need a professional. My DH is a journeyman drywall finisher. The walls in my house are perfect... smooth, no bumps, cracks or bad spots. It isn't easy to do unless you practice. Don't use 'spackle' use all purpose drywall mud. It will come in a box or 5 gallon bucket. You use a flat knife (probably a 10" or 12") and coat the bad areas. Sometimes that means coating the entire wall. You sand it smooth between coats. It can take two or even three if your walls are super bad. I wish I could tell you better. I just know that it's a lot of work. CC
| | | | I love the walls ladies! thank u for showing them again. I would LOVE to find a big star for an empty wall inmy living room but I can not find ANY here in Holland. I might have to bring an extra large suitecase with me on my trip to Canada this summer.
| | | | "webmom30: I was thinking of getting that patio sectional but I wonder if it's too big. On the website, it looks long but on yours, it doesn't. Can you take a pic of it and how long is it? I would appreciate it if you can! " Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I'm on spring break this week so that means I have 11 pages to catch up on! The sectional is actually kind of neat, in that you can configure it in different ways. Each "seat" is separate, and it connects with the other pieces. Each seat is about 32" wide. There are four seats, and one corner piece. I have it set up where there are two seats, corner piece, then two more seats. But, you can really make it any way you want to. You can even make it two separate pieces. BTW, I just checked the walmart website, and it's not listed on it. It is NOT the Sandhill sectional. That one is bigger and more expensive. I don't have the name handy, as I am on vacation, but I will check as soon as I get home. | | | | I know a while back people were posting about how to update the giant mirror in the bathroom. I saw this on a show (maybe "Designed To Sell?") and it sounds weird, but it looked pretty good. They had one of those giant mirrors above their double sinks . . . too big to remove (cheaply) so the designer just hung two large, empty, wooden frames above the two sinks . . . right on top of the mirror. It gave the illusion of having two separate mirrors and it actually worked. The frames were dark wood and matched the trim in the bathroom. Just thought I'd share, in case you guys don't watch as much TV . . . Cara in Boston | | | | Love your mistreatments. The colors rock. I think you have the right idea about the counter tops. We painted our kitchen shortly after we moved in and while the color was nice, it did absolutely nothing for the boring white laminate counter tops. Now that we've re-painted, I don't mind the ugly counters anymore! Megan ETA: Just saw your question about the walls. CC had some good ideas, the other thing I thought of was textured primer. I think you can buy it that way or you can get "sand" to dump into the paint you are using to give it texture (and not using high gloss paint - OMG what was she thinking??). Just stay away from the Ralph Lauren textured River Rock paint, it's horrid. Looks nice but is watery and expensive to boot. Edited 3/26/08 by May00DS+May04DD | | I saw someone ask to show pictures again of photowalls. I just barely posted mine but I'll do it again. I totaly copied someone else off this thread and I photoshopped in some other letteres that aren't our real last name: Jennifer (JoshuaJacob) - You asked what size frames I used. I got them all unfinished at Michaels. Obviously the frames are bigger than the actually pictures themselves, but the pictures they fit are: 2 - 8x10 3 - 5x7 3 - 4x6 2 - 3.5x3.5 I took the advice of the ladies on here, and before I hung anything, I traced the frames and letters, and hung a template up on the wall to get it how I wanted it before I did anything else! Definitely glad I took that advice! Emmaline - allergic to dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, treenuts, dogs, horses, grasses | | | | Where did you buy your letters at? Did you paint them. So you bought frames and painted them all the same color? What color is that I really like and I have walls that are similar colors.
Jennifer
| | | | I just want to say thank you to all that have posted and shared ideas. My collection of what I ant to do keeps growing. KUDOS to Wiggles and Gumballs for starting this excellent thread! | | | | Jennifer - I bought the letters unfinished at Michael's as well (well the letters were white the frames were wood unfinished). Then I used an Olympic brand paint (from Lowe's) called pumpernickel (D18-6). I used a high gloss paint. We put on a gray primer first and then two coats of the brown paint. Also the frames you see with the curved edges - did NOT come with glass in them. We were able to get glass cut to fit at Lowes for a couple of bucks. Emmaline - allergic to dairy, eggs, soy, peanuts, treenuts, dogs, horses, grasses | | | | Thanks so much. Sorry for asking so many questions just love the idea.

| | | | Okay ladies I need some massive help. I am so mad I could spit. LOL. As you may know we're doing our dining room furniture. Anyways the chairs are done and look great. Now the table finally took a good stain and looked great. Looked that is - until DH wouldn't listen to me about the sealer and now it looks like trash. It is bumpy and you can see every imperfection when the light hits it. I need help with covering it so it is still usable. Until this summer when I can take time to redo it (erg) or buy a new one (UGH). I have two birthday's coming up so no time for that now. Would it look okay with a table cloth and a piece of plexieglass cut to fit on top? I need something for my daycare children to be able to eat and color on - not to mention my boys to do their homework. I hate how men can't listen - he has been on my case all this time about this table yet he couldn't do anything I said so it would turn out right. Why don't they listen. He says the table soaked up some of the sealant - well if he had done a thin topcoat first that would of been taken care of - UGH. No he had to do everything quick and just did a cruddy job. *Ladies - don't ask DH to help you - k - just do it yourselves. LOL* | | | | Holly--don't despair! I am redoing my tabletop right now, too. I did some wood conditioner, and stained it, and am on my 4th layer of clear coat. You can sand the stuff! Have you tried that? Take some fine-grade sandpaper and sand off all the bumps and bubbles. Start with the finer stuff--say 220--and if that does the trick, stick with that. If you need something a little rougher, try 180. Once it is sanded evenly, you can just put a coat right over it. Then another one. Then another one. If you stained your table rather than painted, make sure you only coat in the direction of the grain, using long, straight strokes. If it is painted, then just make sure you use long, even, straight strokes. I used a foam brush like someone on her suggested, and that cuts down on brush marks. I hope it can be salvaged! Karen Micah Landon 3.5.05 Asher Nathaniel 1.9.07 | | | | WOO HOO finally I can add something. I re-did our office and made it a playroom/office. We rent our house so no painting allowed! | | | | I love the polka dots! I want to do that to my dd's bedroom, but I live in military housing and for some reason don't trust that they will really come off and not leave any marks... Also, my walls have a bit of texture, will they still stick? Kim Army wife and Mom to Alyssa, 3 | | | | I love this thread, can't say the same for Dh. I do have a question though. I want to get some of those vinyl letters. I have found some on ebay and it says to apply to a smooth wall. My walls are bumpy I guess you could call it. I was wondering if anyone as applied them to their walls when they are not smooth. Hope this makes sense. TIA Kayleen Kylee 4-8-99 Adley 10-19-05 | | | | Thanks CC for the advice for my walls. Thanks everyone else for the compliments and tips! ( is that the kissy face???) Chevymom, they probably won't adhere to a textured surface. You may want to go the picture frame route, or find something else you can put them on and hang (like a weathered/painted board or something). | | | | The vinyl lettering website I like, wonderfulgrafitti.com, says the binyl letters work fine on orange peel and knock down textures, but not on anything heavily textured. It sounds like you probably have orange peel?
We have orange peel and I haven't tried any yet, but I plan to.
Kasey - formerly Carter&Violet'sMami Carter Grant - July 2003 Violet Jane - January 2007 IT'S A BOY! - debuting July 2008! | | | | Thanks for letting me know. I may just end up using stencils on the wall. Our walls are seem to be heavily textured. I hate them. Guess I will figure something else out. Kayleen Kylee 4-8-99 Adley 10-19-05 | | | | Karen - thank you for that. We're on our second coat now. We did sand it to get rid of the bubbles but someone (DH) didn't want to do it good enough. so therefore didn't get them all. I plan to try that again after we get the other stuff settled and I have the time. Obviously asking him for any help like this type of stuff is wrong on my part. I know now that to have it done right I must do it myself. LOL. | | | | Kim - we're in housing as well. We had some Tinkerbell and CAR's ones up in the kids rooms. The texture doesn't allow them to stay completely so I had to "staple" them on the four edges. LOL | | | | Thanks for all the awesome ideas!
I have been really wanting to do some decorating around my house and can't wait to do some of the stuff you all have suggested.

| | | | Hey Kayleen, You can starch things to the walls. I know, it sounds crazy but it works and is darling! I might actually finally get around to doing our polka dots to show you. Try this link: http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/lv_wall_coverings/article/0,2041,DIY_14133_2270741,00.html. Or you can google or do an advanced search here on BBC. A few ladies were helping walk me through the process a couple months ago. The fabric peels right off and leaves your walls w/out any blemishes. Perhaps I'll make it to the fabric store and get started. I've been needing some motivation. I'm hoping to do big polka dots in our playroom. Worst case, I don't like them and can pull them off. ETA: Another link: http://www.rentaldecorating.com/quick_fix_fabric_on_walls.htm Edited 3/26/08 by MyTwoCherries | | | | Thanks for the ideas. I think what I might try is getting a board, having DH make the edges look nice paint it, then put the letter on the board. Who knows what it will look like. If we get it done soon and it looks nice I will post pictures. Kayleen Kylee 4-8-99 Adley 10-19-05 | | | | No better place to ask this question..... I'm painting my bathroom but wanted to know how long do I REALLY have to let the first of paint dry for? Could I do 2 coats in one day? TIA! | | | | If it's latex paint, yes! The dry time should be on the back of the can, but I usually go with two hours. I don't know why - totally arbitrary! lol. Jonas 06-07-07 | | | | Yes, latex paint is usually good to be repainted after an hour of dry time.
YOu could prime, do 2 coats, and be done in a day - but it still needs time to cure (set).
HTH!!

| | | | Okay, the sectional that I bought was Ragan Meadows. It's part of the Better Homes and Garden collection at walmart. Here is the link. As you can see from the walmart pic, it's reconfigured differently than mine is. I thought it was cheaper than Sandhill. They look pretty much the same to me. | | | | I saw a neat idea in the Spring JCPenney catalog and I thought I would share it. In one of the photos in the bedding section they have a long branch mounted on the wall and they have three photo frames hanging from it tied on with ribbon. I thought that was pretty neat. | | | | Love the picture/letter combo. Where did you get your frames and letters? Melissa | | | | Here's the wall thingy over my couch. I have since acquired a coffee table (woot! Thank you freecycle!) and rearranged the furniture a bit (put small couch where chairs are, moved chairs over where small couch was, repositioned rugs). Pardon my life scattered about, and imagine the walls a really cool shade of dusty blue (similar to color in rugs, a little lighter and a little less grey for the walls) instead of high gloss tacky MIL orange ... Hey! Cool, it's the package of curtains I used for my kitchen crammed between the wall and the back of the couch!!! | | | | I have loved, loved this thread~very inspiring! I just wanted to throw in an idea~we're updating our house we bought that is stuck in the 70's and I really wanted this chalkboard from Pottery Barn for my kitchen, but of course couldn't do the $149 price tag. So, I found an big, ugly framed print at a yard sale for $5 ( you can see it on the floor behind the table in the second pic) and sprayed it all with the chalkboard spray paint~about 4 coats, sanded the edges of the frame, and it only cost me about $8 total. Pottery Barn's: Here it is above the table on the left:
Edited 3/27/08 by *Momto3* | | | | Lurker here, but I LOVE that chalkboard idea!!!! Question. Did you spray the actual glass of the picture or the print itself?????? I have an old picture in the attic that this will work perfect for!!!!! Also, thanks so much ladies for the website ideas for the drawer pulls! I found some at one of the ebay stores suggested and now I need to measure and get them ordered!!! You girls rock! AZ | | | | Wow, great job on the chalkboard!! Question about the paint, does the chalk wipe off it cleanly? Has anyone used the Wallies Chalkboards? | | | | Raz- your wall thingy looks great! It reminds me of something crate and barrel has right now. Okay, I need help! I got this awesome grape wood stick from homegoods clearance to put on my mantel and it doesn't fit. I was planning to decorate it according to season. It was way too big so I ended up putting it in my kitchen window. I'm not sure what to do with it now though?? Any body have any good ideas? | | | | OMG, razberiswrl. That high gloss orange is just... wow. What was your MIL thinking?! LOL. I think it will look fabulous with dusty blue on the walls. Jonas 06-07-07 | | | | Hey sorry but what color is that on your wall in the kitchen - i love it. Also did you paint the wood paneling white? I need to do that also. Did you prime the wood first? | | | | Here is my latest ghetto-fab creation! LOL I live in a townhouse, and so the back of the kitchen cupboard faces the living room. I was bored, didn't have money to spend on any new projects, and we are renting so I can't do permanent things. So I took some of my scrapbook paper, cut them into 10x10 squares, and "tiled" the back of the cupboard so that it looks more interesting than just a white rectangle in the living room. Before: After: Close-up of some of the patterns: What do you think? Jessica You think YOU'RE having a crappy day? | | | | Okay, the idea of a skeleton is no good! I thought it was really nice and organic feeling. Is it bad? I can take it :) | | | | Not Momto3, but since I saw your question about painting wood paneling and we just did this in our house, I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. I cannot stress enough the need for a really excellent primer. Learn from my $150 primer mistake... lol. We tried water based first and it didn't work. So we went to Sherwin Williams and got some shellac-based primer. Worked like a charm! Zinsser BIN is also another great product that was recommended to us by a professional painter. Jonas 06-07-07 | | | | newmommynvegas-LOVE IT! Everytime I am at the scrapbook store I say to myself that paper would make awesome wallpaper! Love the muted colors. Carol K | | | | Jessica- That wall is incredibly fabulous! I love it SOOOO much! Now I must figure out where to do that... My current contribution- I got huge frames from Pottery barn with cork around the edges (not a bargain at $30 each! but originally $50!!!) and then had collage prints done at Costco (2.99 for 11x14! they have some great picture things I had no idea about!) of our last few Disney trips. Around the edges in the cork I used Disney pins to display them. Kinda cute, they are going on a hallway wall so all our memories are in one place. Megan | | | | newmommyinvegas - love what you have done with the back of your cabinets. You used the different colors and design of the paper really well. Great job! Danielle Nicholas 2/5/04 Twins Sophia & Isabella 2/8/07 Shop Closed 2/8/07 | | | This thread has gotten me inspired get off my rump and do some decorating around the house too! It's been stagnant here for about 2 years. Besides the grape wood, I added stars above my tv and put up ledges in my ds room instead of buying one of those expensive pottery barn shelves. oh and i also papered the doors of my tv stand. here's the pics: | | | | Thanks, ladies! There are 18 different patterns up there, and I am pleased at how well they came together. They are simply taped up (I rolled tape on the back corners.) Easy to take down when we move, and in the meantime, I can make it feel more like a home. I am now tackling my downstairs bathroom. I have some somewhat zany ideas for it, but that shouldn't surprise anyone after my pink polka dotted kitchen . I'll post pics when I am done! Jessica You think YOU'RE having a crappy day? Edited 3/27/08 by newmommynvegas | | | | Thanks! lilli&clay's mom~ yes, I just sprayed right over the glass! I was kind of nervous at first, but after a month, it has held up really well, even with the kids always drawing on it. I did 4 light coats, letting it completely dry in between. cinnamon~the chalk comes off pretty well, I use Prang dustless chalk. Danielle~the color is Benjamin Moore Wilmington Tan. We have loved it. We did paint our paneling, cabinets, everything, it was pretty nasty before. Definitely use a primer~we used Glidden Gripper primer from Home Depot and have really been pleased with it. I think someone on here recommended it a while back when they were talking about kitchen makeover and painting cabinets. We've finished the kitchen and the entryway and still have the full wall paneling in the family room, so I'll let you know how it works in there. If you want to see befores and afters of what we have done so far, I'm kind of documenting it on our blog~go to the right hand side, to find it more easily and click on decorating * house stuff. www.hyrumandmelissa.blogspot.com hope it works~good luck! | | | | Newmommyvegas -- I think it looks really nice! A good use of scrapbook paper, too since you're probably like me and never have time to actually use that stuff anyway. Elisa | | | - Date: 3/27/08

| | | To Wuv*My*Wubbie I didn't see anyone answer your question on the 3 identical vases across your dresser (or if they did I missed it in this HUGE thread) . My suggestion would be to group the 3 vases together at one end of the dresser. Place 2 of them on items of different heights so the final 3 heights are staggered...maybe one on a small box, and one on a couple of books, and the 3rd directly on the dresser. Then put something really sparse in them for a minimalist/contemporary look. EG: different types of twigs, etc, but make sure they are not all the same height when filled. I think they are a bit small to spread out across such a long dresser. Then you can balance them on the other end of the dresser with 2 or 3 photos, and maybe a pretty bowl or tray in the middle to keep odds and ends in. | | | | keepin it simple - do you mid posting another pic of your daughter's bed, from the stairs, her space looks ADORABLE! I love how her bed looks like it's just tucked into this cute corner!
Kate | | | | FYI at Jo-Anns Simplicity patterns are .99 today through Saturday. I picked up one with some cute valances and one with tie up curtains. Both are supposed to be easy to sew but we'll see! There were quite a few patterns to choose from for curtains and other home decor stuff. The Easter stuff was marked way down (I think 75%) and I also got some pastel decorative eggs cheap to use for spring decorations. I love the scrapbook paper on the cabinets, how cute!! | | | | RAZBERISWRL:
Why won't it let me pick you in the "to" window??
Anyway...
where did you get the rug? is it an outdoor thin rug or a plush indoor?
LOVE IT
KRYSTLE madre to three 5,3 and 6mos.
| | | | that scrapbook wall looks cute! Even though you are cant do permanent things yet you are doing a great job with your house. | | | | Krystle,
I got the rug (it's actually 2, and they are ever so slightly different in hue) from Target during Global Bazaar. They were originally 50 each, but I got them at 75%!
It's really thin and floppy, not thick like carpet. Folds up like a towel, ya know. I'm going to get some of that non skid crap to keep them from sliding around.
| | | | LOVE the ledges with the books. did you make them? buy them? i would love to do that in dd's and ds's rooms..... but hate the price that pbarn wants.... | | | | Jessica....LOVE THE SCRAPBOOK paper wall! Great idea!!!! | | | | I like the uniqueness of the grape wood piece, but it definitely needs color. Try to "Nester-ize" it by putting a bird's nest on it somewhere with 3 tiny eggs. Then place a couple of fake birds elsewhere on it...maybe a little butterfly too. A little Spanish moss hanging on it would soften the look of it so it's not so jagged. When maybe put a few small pots of flowers or fake grass around the bottom. Just create a spring-like scene in your window! It's definitely got potential and I bet it will be wonderful when you finish....good luck! | | | | NewMommy- I love your scrapbook paper idea- it looks great. To those buying nests- where are you finding them? To the poster who found the apothecary jars at Kohls for 3.99- thank you! At my Kohls they were sitting on the shelf with the 39.99 price tag and nothing to indicate they were clearanced. I grabbed 2 and scanned them and sure enough, they were 3.99. I absolutely love them. I am tempted to go back for more, but really how many do I need. To everyone- thank you for all the ideas. I have been a very busy woman the last few weeks implementing tons of these ideas. My house is looking good! | | | | Where did you get the book ledges? Those are adorable and I think would encourage my DD to read more. Her books are crammed in bookshelves and she forgets about them. I am going to have to go back and scour Kohl's for the apothecary jars. I found some at craft warehouse but they were expensive. | | | | What do you think about using scrapbook paper on kitchen cabinets? We are renting and I HATE our kitchen. It's all white and so ugly... let me see if I can find a pic quick enough. But the cabinets are smooth, kinda laminiate-ish maybe. You know, that ugly white stuff I am now second guessing the paper idea because being in the kitchen it could get wet. What is a good, extrememly cheap way to make it look nicer? When I find some fabric I like I'm planning to make a "mistreatment" for that window. (All of our windows are "bare") We really have no extra money to purchase anything so what would make it look more inviting? And for the record. That pic is from before we moved in. It will never be that clean again until the day we move out... hee hee. | | | | April- The scrapbook paper might be okay. If it gets wet, then you just replace it. I dont think it would be a problem for the upper kitchen cabinets, but you might want to skip the ones under the sink I don't know if you saw my other thread, but this is what I did with my rental kitchen- I used some removable wall decals on my cabinets. I found the polka dots at the Dollar Tree. For $3, my cabinets now have pizazz . Jessica You think YOU'RE having a crappy day? | | | | I would love to know where you got those ledges for the books as well. I would love to put some up in my sons room. Thanks!
| | | | I'm pretty sure that you can buy rain gutters from a home improvement store, and use those for bookshelfs (if I recall correctly.) Try googling "rain gutter bookshelf" and see if anything comes up (I hope my memory is correct on this- there was a thread about it a LONG time ago!)
Jessica
You think YOU'RE having a crappy day? | | | | What kind of adhesive did you use to keep the scrapbook paper up on your cabinets. Also did you put anything over the paper to help protect it maybe from curling and getting wet.
